Commodity markets
Natixis offers a comprehensive range of derivatives on different families of underlyings
including base and precious metals, energy and agricultural commodities.
Commodity market activities comprise two distinct segments:
- listed products distributed to a specific client
base via specialized sales teams grouped together within Natixis Commodity Markets
(NCM). This specialized commodity broking and trading subsidiary is continuingd
to develop its electronic order transmission platform for clients.
NCM operates out of London, New York, Hong Kong and Tokyo, and provides services
ranging from execution to clearing on different organized commodity markets
- OTC products, which are underpinned by the Fixed
Income business line’s structuring and distribution capability and designed for
corporate and institutional clients.
Natixis offers a broad spectrum of underlyings:
- Base metals: copper, aluminium, aluminium alloys, nickel, zinc, lead, tin, etc.
- Precious metals: gold, silver, platinum, palladium, rhodium and iridium, etc.
- Agricultural commodities: grain (wheat, corn, rape, soy), cocoa, coffee, sugar,
etc.
- Energy: crude oil, distilled products (diesel, gasoline, heating fuels & bitumen),
natural gas, etc.
- Carbon: credits (CER), permits (EUA), etc.
We also provide an extensive array of financial products (swaps, options, caps/floors,
structured products) in most main currencies.
Natixis additionally operates on the world’s main futures markets (LME, CBOT, Comex,
Euronext-Liffe, ICE, NYMEX, DGCX, etc.).
